At approximately 13:30hours three suspects were observed by our security personnel selecting items from the shelves. One of the suspects concealed the items by placing them inside their pants. Continuous observation was maintained on the suspects and their failure to render payment. The suspects passed the final point of sale without attempting to pay. At that time, the suspects were approached by our security personnel, who identified themselves and requested the suspects to return to security office. A search was conducted and 6 packets of chappies were found concealed inside their pants. The trio have been handed to the police for further investigations.

Our Central Control Room received an intrusion signal at 23:32hours and immediately dispatched our Response team. Upon arrival our Response team found the perpetrator still on site and immediately apprehended him while trying to escape. The perpetrator has been handed over to the Police for further questioning and investigations.

On the 4th January 2024 our control room received a request to assist with a search for a missing person in Thamaga. The person left home on the 1st January 2024 and had since not returned. The person missing was reported to be an elder.
Trail was started from an area near Gakgatla where his footprints were last spotted and the family gave the team his last worn clothes which were used as scent article to start Saymon.
This was an aged trail and Saymon took some time clearing the area to pick direction of travel.
Saymon trailed for about 2km and gave an NSI.
The search team then started looking in the area on foot and around 5pm the person was discovered deceased.
Our deepest condolences to the family.

A report came in that perpetrators have gained access into a farm and ran away with 2 solar panels.
Saymon and Team were put on the spoor and followed the trail.
The 2 panels were recovered.
Further investigations and pursuit of the perpetrators are still ongoing.

Our Control Room received a Fence signal in the morning from one of our clients in Block 6 and immediately dispatched Response crew to attend. On arrival they found two suspects on the scene and they were immediately apprehended and handed over to the Police for further investigations.

At 03:55am our Control Room received a call from one of our Clients in Block 10 who reported that they have just been attacked by 2 perpetrators who fled with their valuables.
Tracking started and our team arrived at a homestead in Mogoditshane at 04:23am and managed to recover some of the stolen items. They have been handed over to the Police for further investigations.

In the morning of the 18th June 2022 at 02:56am our Control Room received a Panic Signal from one of our clients in Extension 27 and immediately dispatched a Response team to attend.
Upon arrival they were informed that a tenant at the backhouse had been raped by 2 perpetrators. The team learnt that one of the suspects had a distinct scar around the left eye.
Yeats was started from the blankets in the room and immediately started his scent discrimination ritual and indicated direction of travel.
Yeats trailed for almost a kilometer and led the team into a homestead where investigations began.
One of the suspects was apprehended and handed over to the Police to continue with the investigations.

In the morning our control received a call from a client in Mogoditshane reporting that his bottle store has been broken into and some liquor and beverages appeared to be missing.
Yeats was started from a Jacket left at the scene by one of the perpetrators. Scent from the Jacket was introduced to Yeats and he was given a trail command to follow.
Yeats immediately gave a headsnap into the direction of travel and trailed for 1km into one shabeen where he spent some time discriminating the perpetrator's scent from the scent pool.
Yeats exited the homestead with a pedestrian gate at the back making way into the yard behind and gave a home ID.
The Jacket was identified as familiar to one owned by one suspect residing at that yard. The lead was handed over to the Police to continue with further investigations.

At 15:42 our control room received an intrusion alert from one of our clients in Block 3 Industrial and immediately dispatched our Response team.
Upon arrival the team discovered two intruders busy helping themselves with our client's property and immediately apprehended them. All stolen items were discovered and two suspects handed over to the Police.

Place: Farm just outside Molepolole
The request was to attend a break-in which happened early morning. Farm owner reported that a pair of sneakers, flashlight, decoders, and other valuable items appeared to be missing.
K9 team arrived at the scene at 19:30 pm.
Yukon was targeted at one of the items which appeared to have been moved by the perpetrator and given a take scent command.
Yukon spent some time around the yard doing his scent discrimination ritual until he picked direction of travel and trailed to a small gate where he gave a Gate ID.
Yukon was taken over the gate and trailed for 18.58km giving direction into a nearby settlement.
The team stopped the dog, transported him, and restarted the trail from the same scent article.
Yukon gave a home ID where items were later recovered.
Police continued investigations and a suspect was apprehended.

Our control room received a call from a client reporting that his car parked outside the yard was broken into.
K9 team was deployed and Yukon was introduced to the crime scene where a clear shoe print was found.
Scent was imprinted and Yukon trailed for about 2km into a homestead.
Yukon made a positive ID on one suspect still wearing the same shoes matching the prints from the crime scene.
The suspect was handed over to the Police for further investigations.

Our Control Room received a call at 07:25am reporting a stolen TV discovered in the morning.
K9 team was deployed and scent collected from the crime scene.
Yukon was introduced to the scent and trailed 25 meters across the road into Mogoditshane.
He gave a Door ID inside one homestead where multiple TVs were found.
The tenant claimed to be a TV technician.
The lead was handed over to the Police for further investigations.

Area: Phakalane Industrial Area
At around 2am a break-in occurred at an industrial site and a caretaker was severely injured by four perpetrators.
At 05:39am Police requested assistance from the K9 Mantrailing Unit.
K9 team arrived at 06:30am and a beanie left at the scene was used as a scent article.
Yukon was started at 07:14am and gave immediate direction of travel.
Multiple Gate and Fence IDs were given leading into Gaborone North.
Yukon made a Seat ID in front of one suspect who was positively identified by the caretaker.
Total trail distance was 1.61km in 32 minutes.
All four suspects were apprehended and handed over to the Police.

Following a previously posted break-in incident in Block 7, a resident from Block 6 identified her stolen wine from images taken at a suspect’s homestead.
The complainant confirmed she had an open case with Gwest Police.
The team accompanied her to the Police to corroborate her statement.
Police and the team visited the suspect’s homestead where more stolen items were identified.
Police continued with further investigations.

A break-in occurred around 1am where a TV and clothes were stolen. The perpetrator hoisted keys through a bedroom window and used them to unlock the kitchen door.
K9 team arrived at 8am and Yukon was started at 08:37am using scent from the keys.
Yukon completed scent discrimination, gave a positive headsnap and trailed for 1km.
He led the team into a homestead where a Door ID was given.
The suspect was taken for questioning and is known to Police with a pending theft case.

Area: Block 7
A lodge was broken into and two watches and a cellphone were stolen. Clothing was left behind at the scene.
Due to heat, Yukon was started at 17:24pm using the clothing as scent article.
He eliminated contaminated scents and exited in the perpetrator’s direction.
Yukon trailed 2km into Block 3; pursuit led to a homestead where one stolen watch was identified.
Police continued investigations.

Police requested K9 assistance for a series of house break-ins.
Yukon was started at 04:07am from a broken door lock.
He worked through multiple scent pools and gave a headsnap exiting Block 7.
The team trailed 6km into Mogoditshane where shoeprints were confirmed.
One suspect was apprehended with stolen items; further leads provided to Police.

A caretaker was attacked by two suspects attempting to steal construction material.
K9 assistance was requested at 22:00 and Yukon was cast around the site.
After scent discrimination, Yukon trailed 3km into Gaborone North.
He led the team to a construction homestead where a Door ID was given.
Two suspects were positively identified and handed to Police.
